RELIGIOUS RESOURCES FOR CHILDREN

PREP (Parish Religious Education Program)

is what used to be known as “Sunday School”.

PREP is offered for Kindergarten through 8th grade for students who do not attend a Catholic school. At St. Albert, PREP is held from 9:00-10:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings from September - May. We use the “FAITH FIRST” curriculum which is based on the 4 pillars of the Catechism. It is youth-friendly and easy to follow.

Opening Assembly will be August 28, 2011.

ARE YOU 21 OR OLDER? Have your felt the call to help the children of St Albert develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ? If so, become a Catechist!! Lesson plans, activities, and training are provided. Childcare for younger children of catechists is provided free of charge in the Nursery,. Catechists also receive reduced PREP tuition for their children. When you earn your Associate Catechist Certificate you will receive a $10 stipend per class. Try it! You’ll love it! Just fill out the information on the flyer below and return it to the Formation office.

ONLY HAVE A COUPLE WEEKS? Be a classroom helper or a sub. All materials are provided.

UNDER 21? We need your help too! Become a Catechist Assistant! You will work hands on with the students and help the Catechist in classroom activities. This is a GREAT opportunity to earn service hours!

Parents, Catechists, Assistants

It is required by the Archdiocese of Louisville that all adults who have regular contact (more than once) with children or youth participate in one of the Safe Environment Training Workshops.  If you have already taken this course and have the card on file here at St. Albert then you do not have to re-take this course.
